An everlasting impression of memory.
I want to say that my trip to Santorini was much better than I expected. I was expecting it to be dull, boring, uninteresting. To me, I thought that it was just a island with houses painted with white and blue. I thought it was just a big tourist trap. However my very short 4 days in there completely changed how I thought about the island. I still think its a big tourist trap, but its a trap would going to.
The very moment that we got into our rented house in Oia I popped opened a cold beer that was conveniently waiting for me in the fridge. It was absolutely so refreshing. Having a nice beverage, with the ocean view and all the houses along the cliff was just so amazing that I can’t explain it in words. The feeling was great, the view was great. The food that we ate in Oia wasn’t the best cuisine ever but the magic aura of Santorini more than made up for it.
I really cannot say much for the places outside of Oia, but I highly insist that if you’re going to Santorini you really must stay in houses along the cliff/mountain side with the view overlooking the water.
That is the only way to experience Santorini and its one of a kind sunset.
Santorini is one of those places that when you think back and remember it, it brings chills behind your neck and you remember how enjoyable it was, and you will long to return and experience it again.
